Muvzilla

I have been practically defrauded $6,500 that I paid to the company. My things were packed by a local Israeli company in Jerusalem at the end of May. All the while, the Israeli company was waiting for a payment to share the bill of landing with us.

The cargo arrived in Istanbul on Sept 7 but it couldn't clear customs because Muvzilla still did not pay the Israeli firm. Muvzilla's CEO couldn't explain why they have not settled the bill yet but promised me he would pay "this week". Every day of delay at the port will ultimately be my cost to bear. There is no rational explanation to what is blatantly fraudulent behaviour.

The payment still hasn't been made, and I'm facing a possibility of paying twice for the same service to rescue my things from the port.

My work archive is in that shipment. I've been living out of a suitcase, and I simply do not have warm clothes to wear when autumn ends.

Beware and don’t use this company- it functions as a ‘middle man’ outsourcing everything, as soon as something goes wrong they disappear.

Our delivery from Switzerland to USA showed up with mold and shipping damage, we had to personally get involved to manage the delivery. We had an ‘all risk’ insurance policy through Muvazilla ( we paid $6,000 for $200k coverage, turns out Muvzilla only bought a $2,800 policy that only insures them!)

To date, they owe us $20,000 for damaged goods, plus a refund on services not performed to contract and we’ve had to use US and Swiss lawyers to get a response. Their CEO begged us to remove negative reviews, we’ve had enough!

If you’re looking for an international moving company, keep looking! I waited until we were partially compensated for our broken television, our stolen leather chairs, kitchen table and our humidor before writing this.

From start to finish this was the absolute worst experience we’ve had with any company and we’ve moved for our jobs several times over the past decade.

Not only was the estimate incorrect from the Turkish company that Muvzilla hired for our move, but they held our shipment until we paid the additional $2000 that was incorrectly estimated from the $7000.

The company that was hired in Canada gave us the wrong date to pick up our shipment, which was a month later than estimated, so when we showed up to customs they told us that the company would be charged for giving false information.

The cherry on top of this experience was when the delivery company that Muzvilla hired in Canada that we had paid to both deliver and unpack our belongings arrived and said, “We weren’t told to unpack.” We stood there with two kids under 3 and begged them to at least put the kids’ beds together. Then finally got Muzvilla to agree to send someone a week later to assemble a bookshelf which had lost the screws after the move.

The incompetency is one thing but almost every month since we moved 9 months ago, we realize another item that was stolen from us (aside from the list above). Whether it be our missing drill set, our step stool, the precision screw driver set gifted to us by my grandfather or our kids’ toys, any time we can’t find something in our home, our kids say, “The boat people stole it!”

When we attempted to get compensation, Mozilla stopped answering our calls and emails, so thankfully by directly going to the insurance company helped recover some.

Robbed of time, energy and belongings.
